Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance by Barack Obama

I finally finished reading this! I have been reading it on and off when I have time for the past year probably. It is really good. I haven't read much for pleasure in a long time and I really got into it before Spring Semester and then in the past couple of weeks. I think we can all relate to his story and so will find a personal connection in reading it. Hope you check it out.

Totally agree on this book, Maya. i found it especially interesting because it was written well before he got into elected politics, let alone a run for the Presidency. It is a book written by a real person, not a political candidate.

This piece by Andrew Sullivan on Obama made a lot of noise a few months back. If you haven't read, I recommend it.
